Tashkent Int'l Marathon winners arrived to homeland

Bishkek, Dec. 8, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstanis Maria Korobitskaya and Ilya Tyapkin arrived on Monday to their homeland. They took part in the II Tashkent International Marathon, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Education and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Maria Korobitskaya finished in first place among women on the classic distance of 42 kilometers 195 meters, overcoming the distance in 2 hours 26 minutes and 42 seconds (Olympic standard makes 2 hours 29 minutes 30 seconds). Thus, Maria Korobitskaya has won a license for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Ilya Tyapkin finished second among men at the distance of 42 kilometers 195 meters with the result of 2 hours 16 minutes and 6 seconds. At Manas International Airport, the Kyrgyz athletes were met by Deputy Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs Erlan Bekmanbetov and senior coach of the Kyrgyz Republic's national team Aibek Syrgakbekov.
