Sport minister meets Muharraq board

Manama, Nov.6 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder received a delegation led by Muharraq Club First Vice Chairman Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa. Second Vice Chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa, board member Ghazi Abdulla Nass and Clubs Affairs Acting Director Mohammed Bu Ali were also present at the meeting. The minister discussed with the delegation planned programmes and initiatives which would be adopted by the board of directors, in addition to the maintenance of the administrative and sport facilities and the upcoming participation of the club in the Asian Football Clubs Championship. He commended the dedicated efforts of the board, led by Chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al-Khalifa, to develop Muharraq Club, stressing its standing as well as role in honing the talents of Bahraini players. Al-Jowder pledged to provide Muharraq Club with all possible assistance to ensure the success of its programmes and initiatives, in line with ministry’s policy to assist national teams in recognition of their pivotal role in promoting sport and youth in Bahrain.
