Shaikha Hayat Al Khalifa wins IOC Women and Sports Award 2015

Manama, Nov. 9 (BNA): The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Women and Sports Award 2015 for Asia has been conferred on Shaikha Hayat bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, the member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Chairperson of the Women Sport Committee and President of the Bahrain Table Tennis Association. Shaikha Hayat will receive the award during the great ceremony to be held on Tuesday at IOC premises in Zurich, in the presence of IOC President Thomas Bach and scores of leading sports personalities from various countries of the world. The IOC Award adds to Shaikha Hayat's rich record of prizes granted to her in appreciation of her leading role in serving the sports movement, in general, and the women sport, in particular, through the various posts she has held. The award reflects the prestigious status enjoyed by the Kingdom's woman competencies who have had their imprints in enhancing the woman sport movement.
