Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club receives international recognition

Manama, Nov. 11(BNA): The sport of horseracing in Bahrain has received world-class recognition after the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) recognised and promoted the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club to the third international standard accredited to horseracing clubs. The reclassification occurred during a FEI meeting in Paris. A Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club Director, Mohammed Abdullah Qassim Al-Hermi, said that the accreditation will bring numerous gains to the Club, and contribute to the development of horseracing standards within the Kingdom. Al-Hermi praised the efforts of the Club's High Commission, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, for its efforts over recent years, which have made a significant contribution to developing the standard of the sport. Al-Hermi also emphasised that the accomplishment was a culmination of the directives of the High Commission's Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Deputy Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the outstanding efforts of the Club’s staff who have worked diligently over recent years.
