QOC Sec-Gen Meets Ukrainian Olympic Committee Chief

Doha, January 08 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary General HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Tuesday met with Sergey Bubka, President of Ukraine's National Olympic Committee, International Olympic Committee executive bureau member, and vice president of the International Association of Athletics Federations, currently on a visit to Doha. The meeting discussed the signing of a sports cooperation agreement between the two countries, enhancing joint cooperation, and the exchange of expertise in the different fields. Bubka hailed Qatar's renaissance in sports facilities and infrastructure, in addition to the successful organization of major international competitions. The Ukrainian sports official, a former world record holder in pole vault, praised QOC's initiatives and sports and youth projects. The meeting, which took place at QOC headquarters, was attended by senior QOC officials. (QNA)
