QOC Chairman Meets Palestinian Sports Delegation

Doha, May 31 (QNA) - HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), met here on Thursday with a visiting Palestinian sports delegation lee by Abdul Salam Haniya , the member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in Gaza and the Advisor of deposed Palestinian Prime Minister for sport affairs. During the meeting, they discussed ways of expanding sport cooperation and exchanging experience to serve the common interests of both countries where Abdul Salam Haniya expressed his thanks and appreciation to the QOC and to the State of Qatar for its continuous support for Palestinian sport movement and the significant role played by Qatar in the rehabilitation of the Palestinian sport infrastructure. The Palestinian sports delegation comprises a group of players of the Palestinian national select and the veteran players who also expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to Qatar for its tireless efforts for supporting the Palestinian sports .
