Qatar's Sports Delegations Arrive in China To Participate in Asian Youth Games

Beijing, August 12 (QNA) - The delegation of the Qatar Football Association have arrived in China to participate in the 2nd Asian Youth Games to be held in Nanjing, People's Republic of China from August 1624, 2013. Additionally, the delegation of the Qatar handball team reached Nanjing and will hold their first training session on Monday before their opening match against China. Qatar will compete in eight sports including Diving, Athletics, Judo, Fencing, Football, Tennis, Handball, and Shooting. According to organizers, the Opening Ceremony of the second Asian Youth Games will be staged August 16 at Nanjing Stadium. The ceremony comprising displays and programs reflecting the glorious history and culture of China. Just like the inaugural edition, the games will serve as a dress-rehearsal for the upcoming 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, which will also be held in the same city. (QNA)
