Qatar's Proposal on 21st Gulf Cup Dates Approved

Manama, January 28 (QNA) - The Secretaries -General of the football federations in the GCC countries Friday have unanimously approved Qatar s proposal on the dates of the upcoming 21st GCC Cup in Bahrain to be held on 5-18 January 2013 instead of 12-25 January 2013. The proposal was submitted by Mr. Saoud Al-Mohannadi, Secretary-General of Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Head of inspection committee at GCC football organization Committee in which he suggested to shift the event’s time to avoid contradiction with the timetable of AFC Cup qualifications, according to Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC). The participants collectively lauded the Qatari proposal and described it as reasonable and come in the favor of GCC football movement. (QNA)
