Qatar's Al Obaidli Enters Quarterfinals of Icheon Snooker

Icheon, South Korea, July 01 (QNA) - Powered by an inspiring display, Qatari cueist Nasser Al Obaidli entered the quarter-finals of Men's 6 Red Snooker championship at the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games being held here. Al Obaidli defeated Adel Khan of India, 5-2, while Mohsen Abdulaziz Buksheisha suffered a 3-5 defeat against Lim Shon in the pre-quarterfinals held Sunday night. Al Obaidli will face Iran's Hassan Ayouri in the last eight round. Qatar's Mohammad Ahmad Al Benali lost to Han Lian of Singapore in the last 32 round of 9-ball snooker event. Al-Benali reached the last 32 round after beating Mohammad Sharif 9-0. President of the Qatar Billiard and Snooker Federation (QBSF) Mohammad Al Ramzani congratulated Al Obaidli for reaching the quarterfinals and mentioned that the level of snooker in Asia is very high as China, Thailand, Pakistan and India have some of the best players in the continent.
