Qatari Shooting Team Captures Bronze Medal in Shooting Competition

Doha, December 23 (QNA) - The Qatari Shooting Team came in the third position and captured the Bronze Medal in the men's skeet shooting competition held at the Lusail Shooting Complex of the 12th Arab games 2011. The closing ceremony of the Arab games 2012 will be held in Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at Al-Sadd Sports Club with a final football meet between Bahrain and Jordan selected teams. The Lebanese shooting team came first and captured the gold medal followed by the Kuwaiti team who came in the second position and scored the silver medal. In a statement he made at the end of the competitions, Lebanese shooter Walid Al-Najar voiced greet pleasure for capturing the Gold Medal noting he faced furious resistance on part of the Kuwaiti shooter who scored the silver medal and came second. He also highly praised Qatar for ensuring the good and splendid organisation of the 12th Arab Games-2011 and wished the Arab shooters would be qualified for the Olympic tournament due to be held in London next year and in the Asian Championship due to be staged in Doha next Month.
