Qatar Ready for Gulf Cup of Nations, Khalfan Ibrahim Says

Doha , December 31 (QNA) - The Qatari football national team is ready to take part in the 21st Gulf Cup of Nations, member of the team Khalfan Ibrahim said Monday. The competition will take place in Bahrain from January 5-18 of 2013. Khalfan expressed his hope that his team seals its third Gulf Cup of Nations title, stressing that they need to play like they did in the last 20 minutes against Egypt if they are to get the desired results. On their game against Bahrain the hosts, Khalfan said that Bahraini fans will not be a factor in the game, stressing that all the Qatari players will be hungry for the win. He said that the game itself will be close, especially that the two teams have a similar playing style. Qatar is in Group A and will face UAE, Oman and Bahrain. (QNA)
