Qatar to Participate in Asian Beach Games

Doha, June 06 (QNA) - The Qatari delegation will head for Haiyang city, China to participate in the upcoming the 3rd Asian Beach Games 2012 which will run from 16-22 June. A delegation consists of 51 persons including athletes, administrators, technical staff members and media staff will represent Qatar in the 2012 Asian Beach Games in China. Qatar will field five teams to compete in the Haiyang Asian Beach Games including Beach Soccer, Beach Handball, Beach Volleyball, Beach Basketball and Paragliding. Chief of the Qatar s administrative delegation to Haiyang Asian Beach Games 2012, Tareq Said Al-Ali affirmed that this participation comes in the frame of Qatar s strategy to attend all continental sport events , in attempt to increase the athletes international experience in all sports. The participants in the Asian Beach Games will compete in Beach Basketball, Beach Handball, Beach Kabaddi, Beach Sepaktakraw, Beach Soccer, Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Beach Woodball, Dragon Boat, Powered Paragliding, Roller Skating, Sport Climbing and Waterski.
