Qatar Open Badminton Championship Start Today

Doha, May 30 (QNA) - Over 400 players will be seen in action at the Qatar Open Badminton Championship 2012 which opens later today at the Al Arabi Volleyball Indoor Hall. The country's badminton talent will be taking part in the tournament in the junior, senior and veterans categories involving 550 matches. The official opening of the tournament is today at 5:00 pm. It is mandatory for all the junior participants to be present at the venue to complete the tournament registration, the Qatar Badminton Association said. The registration desk will be open from 4 pm today. The final day of the week-long tournament will be June 7. The updates and results of the tournament will be made available on Qatar Badminton Association Facebook page. The official draw and schedule will be published on Facebook and all participants are advised to follow Qatar Badminton Association Facebook page to refer match schedules, the association said. (QNA)
