Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary General Meets British Senior Official

DOHA, 05 March, 2012 The Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met here on Tuesday with Alistair Burt, the British Parliamentary Undersecretary of State at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Minister for the Middle East and South Asia and his accompanying delegation , now visiting Qatar. During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of joint sports cooperation and means of boosting them in the coming stage. The talks also featured QOC's participation in London Olympic Games and how best to support the qatari delegation competing at the London olympic games The Opening date of the games will be on 27 July, while the Closing date will be 12 August 2012. It is worthy to mention that the number of the qatari sportsmen qualified for London olypmic games 2012 reach so far 13 male an d female sports figures representing three sports associations.(QNA)
