Qatar Olympic Committee Honours Students on Scholarships

Doha, January 04 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic Committee today held its annual ceremony for its students on scholarships and honored the distinguished students and graduates. The celebration comes in the context of the QOC continuing contacts with students on scholarships and support of the fraternal bonds with them as well as the interest in listening to all opinions in order to provide ideal conditions for students in the various scholarship programmes. The ceremony was attended by Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Assistants to the Secretary-General and heads of departments , as well as students on scholarships and their parents. The QOC Secretary-General said in a speech at the ceremony that this ceremony comes to honour our sons who deserve our recognition and appreciation for the outstanding results they have achieved in the academic year 2011/2012. We wish everyone success and excellence in the coming year to become part of cadres contributing to the drive of the Olympic Committee and keep pace with the sport achievements taking place in our beloved Qatar under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent and President of Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
