Qatar Handball Team Defeat Vietnam in Asian Youth Games

Beijing, August 14 (QNA) - The Qatari handball team began their campaign at the 2nd Asian Youth Games with a 44-10 victory over Vietnamese counterparts on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Qatari team will take on the Pakistani team which lost 3-25 to Iran on Tuesday. On the other hand, the Qatari football team suffered a 1-4 defeat against china in their opening match at the 2013 youth games. According to organizers, the Opening Ceremony of the second Asian Youth Games will be staged August 16 at Nanjing Stadium. The ceremony comprising displays and programs reflecting the glorious history and culture of China. Just like the inaugural edition, the games will serve as a dress-rehearsal for the upcoming 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, which will also be held in the same city. (QNA)
