Qatar Chamber of Commerce Launches Second Qatari Businessmen Encyclopedia

Doha, May 16 (QNA) - The Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has launched the second edition of the Qatari Businessmen Encyclopedia (QBE) for 2012, in attendance of members of the Board of Directors, Qatari businessmen, and former associates. The edition surely comes to underline the Chamber's commitment towards achieving communication and linkage with the Qatari business society through highlighting the role of prominent business owners exercising an important role in Qatar's private sector through a variety of contributions, said HE QCCI Chairman Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohammad Al-Thani in a press release the Chamber issued here Wednesday. Qatar's private sector is witnessing a rapid expansion and presence, as it participates in the comprehensive growth experienced by the State based on the bases set by the Qatar National Vision 2030, QCCI Chairman indicated adding that the new directory provides an opportunity for readers to view resumes of a number of Qatari businessmen. Viewing the resumes presents means of introduction to Qataris who have added and enriched the private arena in Qatar either through pursuing new economic activities or industrial applications with no financial returns, but persisted to create notable achievements and lead a pioneering role, HE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohammad Al-Thani said. HE the QCCI Chairman, during a ceremony conducted Tuesday on the occasion has called on Qatari businessmen to provide the Chamber with their resumes, business information, activities, and foreign investment data for accurate coverage of the largest number of businessmen making the QBE a true bridge and record reflective of Qatar's economic state. The ceremony featured honors presented to the official sponsors of the QBE; Qatar Development Bank (QDB), Alfardan Group, Ali Bin Ali Group, Al Kamal International Group, Abdullah Abdulghani and Bros. Co., Al Sraiya Holding, General Trading Group, Ibin Ajayan Group, and Nabina Trading Establishment. The first edition of the QBE was released in 2008 in Arabic and English versions, in print and on CD. (QNA)
