Preparations for Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Horseshow underway

Manama, Apr. 13 (BNA): His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has directed the BREEF to organise the Late Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow on April 29, 30. The contest will be held at the Military Sports Association field in Al Raffa, Sakhir. Shaikh Nasser highlighted the success of the previous show, held last February, noting that owners and breeders expressed their hope for organising more similar events in Bahrain. Shaikh Nasser confirmed his constant concern about horse shows and equestrian events, adding that his directives to the federation to organise the event comes to enrich this sport in Bahrain. He said that the event has become one of the main horse shows, which confirms the popularity of the Late Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow as it combines the beauty, genuineness and strength of the participating horses. He also pointed out the huge turnover witnessed by the previous editions of the show, proving the good reputation it gained during the previous few years. Breef Assistant Undersecretary Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan confirmed that the organising committee is following Shaikh Nasser's directives to ensure the success of the Late Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow, adding that the show is an opportunity to demonstrate the high technical levels attained by Bahraini breeders in producing genuine Arabian horses
