Olympics Past & Present Exhibition

Doha, April 17 (QNA) - The events accompanying QMAs Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum (QOSM), the largest exhibition of its kind showing both ancient and modern Olympic Games and narrating the history of the Olympics in ancient Greece and their re-establishment in modern times continue. On display till 30 June 2013 at AL RIWAQ DOHA exhibition space, the OLYMPICS Past & Present exhibition includes two different sections highlighting ancient Olympia and the modern Olympic Games. The side events will host Williams Formula One F1 racing team on Monday in addition to organizing a conference on the history of doping and anti-doping in collaboration with the Anti-Doping Laboratory Qatar (ADLQ) on May 6&7, which will showcase the historical, cultural and scientific aspects of doping. Organized in partnership with ExxonMobil Qatar, the exhibition is the first of its kind to showcase a large number of objects from the collections of the Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum and QMAs Media Collections. Additional pieces from around the world including Greece, France, Germany and Italy complement the exhibit. (QNA)
