More Than 1500 Students Participate in School Olympic Program on Monday
Doha, March 03 (QNA) - 1545 students from different educational levels are due to resume their competition in several sport games at the prestigious Schools Olympic Program ( SOP) 2012-2013 under the theme "Sports and Investment" on Monday.
Around 200 students from secondary independent schools (girls ) are ready to compete in the Handball event at Women Sport Committee Hall and Amna bint Wahab school hall on Monday.
Likewise, more than 520 students (boys) from different primary independent schools stand ready to vie in the handball competition on Monday . In another SOP scene some 300 students (boys) will compete in the football events at Qatar Football Association (QFA ) playgrounds.
Around 150 students (boys) will shake hands with each other in the volleyball event , 200 students (boys) will compete in fencing and 175 students (boys) in Table Tennis.
Under the theme "Sports and Investment" the primary schools students (boys) resumed their competitions in the handball event at the prestigious Schools Olympic Program 2012- 2013 on Saturday.
In Saturday s fixtures, Egypt Language School outclassed Indian Islamic 10-0, Abi Haneefa school defeated Saoud bin Abdulrahman School 10-0, Umm Slal thrashed Al Karaanah 10-0 and Al Falah school defeated Omar bin Khattab 4-0.
In another scene, the preparatory schools students (boys) showed widely praised performance in basketball competitions . Indian Islamic school made a narrow 18-17 victory over Lebanese counterparts, Egypt language school defeated Al Andalus 20-0, Dar Al Salam outclassed Al Forqan 20-0 and Tunisian school thrashed Omar bin Kattab school 15-2.
