Manama beat Al Ahli to lift under-21 title

Manama, Apr. 26. (BNA) -- Manama were last night crowned champions in the Bahrain Zain Basketball Under-21 championship following a 57-55 victory over arch rivals Al Ahli in the final played at the Bahrain Basketball Association Court in Um Al Hassam, GDN reported. The quarters scores were 12-12, 15-9 (Manama), 20-17 (Al Ahli), 14-13 (Al Ahli). Manama's top scorers were Mohammed Ameer (20 points) and Bader Isa (14) while Al Ahli's top scorers were Ali Aqeel (22) and Jassim Abil (15). It was the first title for Manama this season after losing the Men's Cup final against Muharraq and Under-19 Cup final against Ettihad. After the match, Bahrain Basketball Association board members Ali Al Khaja and Nasser Al Qaseer presented gold medals and trophy to Manama players and silver medals to Al Ahli players. W H Q
