Liga I Kick Off To Be Held In Bandung: PSSI Chairman

JAKARTA, March 30 (Antara) - The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) will organize the national soccer competition "Liga I" (league one), and the kick off will be held in Bandung Lautan Api sport stadium on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Two clubs which will compete at the initial match are Persib Bandung and Arema FC, according to the PSSI chairman, Lieutenant General (Army), Edy Rahmayadi, here on Wednesday. "The Liga I competition will be held from April 15 to Nov 2017," he said, after a meeting with managers of 18 clubs on the day. This highest level of soccer competition in the country will be led by its operator PT Liga Indonesia Baru. The league will be run in home-and-away system, and each club will get a subsidy of Rp7.5 billion for one season.
