Kyrgyzstani Tsarev earns bronze at Greco-Roman Wrestling World Cup in Serbia

Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s athlete Ruslan Tsarev won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 72 kg at the Greco-Roman Wrestling World Cup. According to the United World Wrestling (UWW), the national athlete defeated with 3:0 representative of Bulgaria Aik Mnatsakanyan. Another Kyrgyz wrestlers Balbai Dordokov (55kg) and Khalmurat Ibragimov (67kg) lost in the bout for third place, they both took fifth place. Due to the postponement of the Olympics, UWW decided to hold a full World Cup. But after the refusal of some countries to participate, the organizers decided to call the competition Individual World Cup. The team from Kyrgyzstan consists of 20 athletes. Note that the Individual World Cup in free-style wrestling, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling is held on Dec. 10-20 in Belgrade (Serbia).
