"Kyrgyzstan is country where I was born and hardened as athlete" UFC champion Valentina Shevchenko

Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2021 / Kabar /. “Kyrgyzstan is my homeland,” UFC flyweight champion (up to 56 kg) Valentina Shevchenko told during a press conference in Bishkek.
She said that Kyrgyzstan is the country where she was born and it was here that she hardened as an athlete.
“Kyrgyzstan has given me the necessary life qualities both as a person and as an athlete. It was here that my spirit and character were tempered, it was here that I acquired the foundations on which we rely throughout our entire life path. Kyrgyzstan is a unique country where there are the kindest and good people, beautiful nature and delicious cuisine,” she said and added that she always thinks about Kyrgyzstan when she is away from home.
“I always want to come and stay here longer. I am sincerely glad when I am here, I just walk the streets, I just breathe and look at people,” Shevchenko said.
At the same time, the athlete indicated that she plans to open an MMA academy in Kyrgyzstan in the future.
“The academy requires a lot of time and efforts, currently my priority is a professional career. However, my mother is the president of the Muay Thai Federation of Kyrgyzstan and continues to train athletes,” she concluded.
Valentina Shevchenko's mother, Elena Shevchenko, has been the President of the Muay Thai Federation of Kyrgyzstan for many years.
