KHK MMA vies in UFC-TUF 22 Championship

Las Vegas, Dec. 8 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa arrived in Las Vegas in Nevada State yesterday to attend the UFC-TUF 22 Ultimate Fighting Championship finales on Friday, December 11. His Highness supports professional fighter Frankie Edgar. His Highness was received upon arrival at LV Airport by several members of the Kingdom of Bahrain's Embassy to the United States. His Highness issued a statement upon arrival in which he has expressed gratitude and appreciation to the UFC President Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta for their huge support to mixed martial arts, that reflects the organisation's successful development of the global sport. He said we are here once again in LV, Nevada this time to support professional MMA fighter Frankie Edgar who will confront professional American fighter Chad Mendes in the major fray. His Highness affirmed the objectives of Bahrain's competing for international sports success to boost the Kingdom's position on the world map of sports and promote the Kingdom's advancement and development in the youth and sports sector during the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Highness watched the training session undertaken by professional MMA fighter Frankie Edgar who is a member in KHK MMA team in his fight with US contestant Chad Mendes. Fighter Frankie Edgar has praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa role in the development and progress of Bahraini sports.
