Iraq Set For 'Home' Games in Doha

Doha, May 26 (QNA) - Iraq national team, coached by Brazilian great Zico, will play their 'home' 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Doha, it was confirmed Friday. The Asian Zone, Group B, fixtures involving Iraq will be played at Grand Hamad Stadium. Iraq take on Jordan on June 12 at the home turf of Qatar Stars League (QSL) side Al Arabi, according to Qatar Football Association (QFA). Australia, Japan, Jordan and Oman are paired up with Iraq, the 2007 Asian Cup champions, in Group B. The Iraqi squad is currently training in Istanbul, Turkey, ahead of the qualifier next month. South Korea, Iran, Uzbekistan, Qatar, and Lebanon are in Group A. (QNA)
