IAAF World Junior Championship :Qatar’s Hamza Qualify 1500 M Final

Spain, July 11 (QNA) - Qatar s Hamza Driouch entered the 1,500M final of the IAAF World Junior Championship in Barcelona, Spain. The runner s time of 3:38.06 was the fastest among all three qualifying heats. In his heats, Hamza was almost four seconds faster than second-placed Yenew Tebikew, from Ethiopia (3:42.69). Chile s Carlos Diaz (3:43.16) was third.The final will be held on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eid Abdullah Al Kuwari crashed out of 100M qualifying heats. He finished sixth out of eight runners with a time of 10.95sec. Bahamian Teray Smith won the heats in 10.58 while Italy s Giovanni Galbieri and South Africa s Siphelo Ngqabaza (both 10.60) finished second and third respectively. (QNA)
