HM King's patronage of Arab Athletics Championship hailed

Manama, Mar. 24 – (BNA): The Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCY)'s First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Athletic Association (BAA)'s Chairman and Head of the High Organising Committee for the 19th Arab Athletics Championship, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has expressed utmost gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for His Majesty's consent to patronize the 19th Arab Athletics Championship scheduled to be hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the period April 23-27. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said the great attention from His Majesty the King to the youth and sports sector has contributed in the development and advancement of the sports movement in the Kingdom, which reflected in the results of various teams participations abroad. His Highness also hailed His Majesty's support to the sports sector which boosted the prestige of Bahraini sports regionally, continentally and worldwide, which resulted in a series of fruitful accomplishments for the Bahraini sports in general, and athletics in particular, and which brought Bahrain to the forefront of advanced countries on the international map of sports. His Highness said His Majesty the King's patronage of the Arab event will constitute a huge gain for the championship in all aspects and will give media and spectatorship the impetus and contribute to showcasing the event in the most appropriate form and will push all working committees to muster their efforts and energies to organise the championship in a uniquely optimum manner.
