BOC marks NAC anniversary

Manama, Feb. 15 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) is organising a special event to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the National Action Charter (NAC). Themed "Our Charter is our future", this celebration ceremony will be organized in cooperation with Gulf University and is part of the committee plan to promote community partnership with national institutions and organisations, and in compliance with the agreement signed with Gulf University. BOC IT director and head of Communication Committee, Nawaf Abdulrahman, said the 15th anniversary of the NAC is regarded a renewal of the pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the leadership, and recalling the achievements and successes which the Kingdom of Bahrain achieved in the prosperous era of His Majesty the King. "The National Action Charter has made a quantum leap in Bahrain modern history and was endorsed by an overwhelming popular majority, leading the nation to further development and progress," said Abdulrahman. Abdulrahman said the Communication Committee had a meeting with the Gulf University to make final arrangements of the ceremony programme. He noted that the BOC sent invitations to all national sports federations to take part in the events, which will feature a variety of sporting, cultural and entertaining activities. "The celebration is open to the public, in general, and athletes, university and school students, in specific, and all are welcome," concluded Abdulrahman.
