Bahrain's Prime Minister Meets QFA President

Manama, January 08 (QNA) - Bahrain's Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa conferred on Tuesday with HE Qatar Football Association (QFA) President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani. During the meeting, Bahrain's Premier lauded the progress of relations between Qatar and Bahrain and the growing cooperation between them in all fields including sport. He also praised the role of Gulf Cup of Nations' tournaments in cementing cooperation relations between the GCC states in addition to the pivotal role of inter-GCC tournaments in raising standards and enhancing the position of Gulf sports at international arenas, asserting that shared denominations between GCC countries constitute elements of success for all sports events staged by the GCC states.
