A.Monkhbat wins gold in British Open

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian wrestler A.Monkhbayar won a gold medal in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu British Open 2013 held on May 18-19 in Birmingham city, UK. He captured this medal in the men’s 64 kg weight category, and also won a silver medal in the open class contest. A.Monkhbat who lives in the UK, will compete in the Jiu Jitsu World championship which will run from May 27 through June 2 in Long Beach city, USA, together with other wrestlers of the national selected team. The national team has comprised S.Batgal (men’s 64 kg), B.Damlanpurev, Kh.Amartuvshin (70 kg), D.Bat-Amgalan, L.Chinzorig (76 kg), B.Batbayar, G.Altanbagana (83 kg), D.Monkhbayasgalan, O.Bold-Erdene (88 kg), B.Sugarjargal (+100 kg), B.Uranchimeg and B.Buyandelger (women’s 53 kg). They will leave for the USA on May 27.
