Alba launches annual Ramadan sports season

Manama, July 3 -- (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) has launched its annual Ramadan sports season at the Alba Club. This annual sport event is organised by the Company as part of it's commitment to encourage sporting activities among employees as well as provide them and their families an enriching experience during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Alba’s Executive team inaugurated the season, which was kicked-off with the first round of the Basketball inter-departmental tournament featuring 16 teams from across the company. Also present at the opening were various member of the Alba Management team as well as representatives from the Alba Labour Union. Alba Chief Operations Officer, Isa Al-Ansari said: "At Alba, our annual Ramadan sports activities have become a tradition. It is divided into several categories and allows everyone to participate and regardless of their level of experience. Through these tournaments and activities, Alba not only strengthens bonds and encourages team spirit among its employees but also motivates them to maintain a healthy lifestyle by playing a sport they enjoy in a competitive environment." The annual Ramadan sports season is a much-awaited event, which takes place at the state-of-the-art Alba Club on different days throughout the Holy Month.
