Al Rayyan's Naji Moves to Qatar Sports Club

Doha, May 27 (QNA) - Right back Mourad Naji of Al Rayyan on Friday ended his contract with the 2012 Heir Apparent Cup champions and signed a new two-year deal with Qatar Sports Club (QSC). "I thank the Qatar Sports Club Chairman Sheikh Hamad Bin Suhaim for his efforts in making this deal possible," the 20-year-old said after signing the deal, according to a QSC website report. "It is a great honor for me to play for a club that wants to win trophies. I am keen to play under the guidance of coach Sebastiao Lazaroni. I think my game will improve under him," he added. 'My goal is to be selected for the Qatar national team. "I want to win trophies with my club and country," Naji said. "I want to thank Al Rayyan for giving me the break and helping me in improve my game," he added. Naji, a graduate of Aspire Academy, played for the Qatar Olympic football team in the GGC U23 tournament held in Qatar in August 2011. Earlier, Murad had expressed interest in playing professionally in France and had received offers from Olympique de Marseille and AS Nancy, the QSC report said. (QNA)
