Al Khor Defeats Al Gharafa to Take Over Fifth Place

Doha, February 23 (QNA) - Al Khor recorded a valuable victory on Saturday over Al Gharafa 2-0, in the 18th round of the Qatar Stars League. Sergin Abdo opened the scoring in the 31st minute, Julio Cesar added the second in the 70th minute. The win meant that Al Khor took over Al Gharafa's previous position of fifth in the table. Al Gharafa retreated to sixth place. Both teams have 24 points so far this season. Al Gharafa was on the attack for the majority of the match. Yet it was Al Khor who managed to score two goals, first from a set piece and the second from a cross. (QNA)
