AFC Champions League: Al Ahli 2-0 Al Gharafa

Makkaha Al Mukkramah, February 27 (QNA) - Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia began their AFC Champions League Group C campaign on a positive note with a 2-0 victory over Qatari side Al Gharafa at the King Abdulaziz Sport City on Wednesday. Last years runners-up took the lead through a fine solo effort by Mustafa Al Bassas late in the first half and they sealed the win when Victor Simoes struck their second deep into stoppage time. The win moved them level on three points with Iranian champions Sepahan, who downed Al Nasr of the United Arab Emirates 3-0 in Wednesday s other Group C game.(QNA)
