1st conference on "The History of Women & Sport: From Past to Future" to Opens on Jan.22

Doha, January 18 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Jawaher Bint Hamad Bin Suhaim Al-Thani, the Wife of HH the heir Apparent, the Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum (QOSM) and the Qatar Women s Sport Committee (QWSC) are organizing the 1st conference on "The History of Women and Sport: From Past to Future" in the auditorium of the Museum of Islamic Art Museum from 22nd to 24th of January 2012. The audience can expect international scholars shedding light on important topics related to women sport activities. The conference will include discussions and talks about the development of Women and Sport between speakers and audience, which will be complemented by a workshop on women and sports in the GCC region with the participation of the representatives of GCC countries women sport federations and other prominent female leaders in the sports world.
