The epidemiological situation in Naryn Oblast is stable, deputy coordinator on health in Naryn Oblast of Kyrgyzstan Tabyldy Zhakypov said during a briefing on Thursday. He added that only 2 cases of coronavirus were detected in the last 24 hours, as well as 2 people have recovered and been discharged. "Thus, large-scale work on preventing the incidence of COVID-19 and vaccinating the population is carried out in the oblast ," the representative of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry added. Zhakypov also pointed out that in 2021 the Naryn Oblast United Hospital put into operation a newly built infectious disease unit for 70 beds specialized for patients with COVID-19. "In turn, vaccination in Naryn is carried out intensively. Vaccination points have been opened in every region. A total of 102,414 people in Naryn Oblasr are subject to vaccination. To date, 49,191 people (48%) have already been vaccinated with the first dose, and 35,920 people (35%) have received the second dose of the vaccine,” the specialist concluded.
