Saudi Minister of Transport Attends Signing of Agreements with Leaders of Chinese Companies

Beijing, September 27, 2023, SPA -- The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and an accompanying delegation held a series of meetings with leaders of major companies in the Chinese capital, Beijing. The meetings witnessed the signing of several joint agreements to enhance Saudi-Chinese cooperation.
The meetings with officials of Kerry Company, Almajdouie Sinotrans Middle East, JDL Company, and Cainiao-Alibaba Group, included presentations about the companies, the major challenges they face, and how to facilitate their business in the Saudi market.
The companies were given license to practice logistics activities in the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Acting President of the Public Transport Authority (PTA), Rumaih Al-Rumaih, signed agreements with Cainiao-Alibaba Group, J&T Express, and iMile to provide short-address services.
The deputy transport minister also signed agreements with J&T Express and iMile for training cooperation with the Saudi Logistics Academy.
The meetings come on the sidelines of the minister of transport’s participation in the opening of the Global Sustainable Transport Forum, held in Beijing on September 25 and 26.
