Presidential lyceum to be opened in Kyrgyzstan for gifted children

Bishkek, June 15, 2023. / Kabar /. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Decree "On the Presidential Lyceum "Akylman"(translated as erudite).

The development of the intellectual, scientific and creative potential of students, the creation of the necessary conditions for supporting and stimulating especially gifted children of the Kyrgyz Republic is one of the most important directions of the state policy in the field of education, the president’s press service said.

A boarding school lyceum will be created to introduce a unified system of training and education of especially gifted children from all over the country, support and encourage talented youth, and form an intellectually developed generation in Kyrgyzstan.

An educational institution will be opened in Cholpon-Ata, schoolchildren who have completed the sixth grade can study there. The schoolchildren will be able to choose individual subjects and levels of their teaching, taking into account their interests and characteristics.

The lyceum will report directly to the Ministry of Education and Science, which is instructed to take measures to create and organize the activities of the lyceum.
