We owe a duty of loyalty to martyrs of freedom flotilla, says Gazan PM Haniya

ISTANBUL (A.A) - January 2, 2012 - Prime Minister of the Palestinian administration in Gaza, Ismail Haniya, said Monday that they were visiting Turkey in order to thank the Turkish government and people for support they extended to Palestine. Turkey played a great role on a prisoner swap deal and a compromise reached among Palestinian groups. We appreciate Turkey's support to Palestine in many fields, Haniya stressed. We discussed with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan many issues pertaining to Palestine. As always, Erdogan received us warmly, Haniya said. We owe a duty of loyalty to the martyrs of freedom flotilla who were killed in May 2010.  The Mavi Marmara aid ship made great contributions to the Palestine issue, Haniya noted. We are working to end the two-state structure in Palestine. A joint government would be established by the administrations of Gaza and West Bank before the elections of 2012, Haniya underlined. Nine Turkish nationals were killed when Israeli commandos raided Mavi Marmara, the lead vessel in a six-ship Gaza-bound aid flotilla in May 2010.
