We conduct talks with our interlocutors to find alternative routes, says Transportation Minister Yildirim

ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 9, 2011 - Turkish Minister of Transportation, Maritime and Communication, Binali Yildirim, said Friday that they were conducting talks with their interlocutors in an attempt to find alternative routes for Turkish transporters. Speaking to reporters during an inauguration ceremony of the Ro-Ro shipping between Istanbul's Pendik port and Constanta, Romania, on Friday, Yildirim said that they wanted to formulate solutions so that 3,000 Turkish transporters were affected by internal tension in Syria as little as possible. Asked what type of alternatives existed if Syria was not to let Turkish transporters into the country, Yildirim said that they were working on all types of possibilities and alternatives. "Our only goal is to make sure that 3,000 Turkish transporters and 100 firms operating in the region do not get much (negatively) affected by the unrest in Syria," Yildirim also said.
