VICE FM VISITS SINGAPORE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Deputy minister of Foreign affairs of Mongolia D.Gankhuyag paid a working visit to the Republic of Singapore March 20-21.
Mr D.Gankhuyag met with Permanent Secretary of the Singaporean Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bilahari Kausikan and with Ng How Yue, second permanent secretary, ministry of trade and industry. He spoke about Mongolia's foreign policy and an economic development, requested them to support Mongolia in its participation in the regional integration, and said Mongolia wants to create a joint economic committee between the countries and to study Singapore's free trade agreement.
Then he confirmed that Sungapore has been invited as the observer to the 7th Ministerial Conference of Community of Democracies /CoD/.
The sides also spoke about Singapore's Diplomatic Academy.
At the meeting with Ng How Yue, Mr Gankhuyag briefed on new parliament and government and spoke about present economic situation, the government's policies, Ouy tolgoi and Tavan tolgoi projects, a construction of Sainshand industrial park.

The same day, Mr Gankhuyag attended a introductory meeting at Singapore tourism Board /STB/. Present was B.Margad from the Ministry of Culture, Sport and tourism.

On March 21 D.Gankhuyag met with Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien (Minister, Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and second minister for Foreign Affairs).
The sides shared views on internal affairs of the two countries, on friendly relations and cooperation. They noted that the two countries support each other in the international level and expressed a readiness to continue it.
D.Gankhuyag said Mongolia wants to establish a legal assistance contract with Singapore.

D.Gankhuyag attended the same a Mongolia-Singapore business forum arranged by Mongolia's Embassy in Singapore and Singapore Business Federation. Present were Mongolia's officials from Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and the health sector.
After this, D.Gankhuyag met with Eric Tan Chong, a director of Singapore's Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB). Present were N.Ganbold, a Chief of the Anti-Corruption Authority.
