U.S. Urged to Mind Its Own Business before Taking Issue with Others' Human Rights
Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- According to a recent Romanian TV broadcasting program, the total number of Americans who lost their lives in the American Civil War, U.S.-Spanish War, the First and Second World Wars, Korean War, Vietnamese War and many other wars in the history of the U.S. is 1.2 million while the number of those who were killed owing to gun-related crimes inside the U.S. in peace time is 1.4 million. This clearly proves that the U.S. is a veritable hell on earth.
Minju Joson Tuesday says this in a commentary.
The commentary goes on:
Gun-related crimes have become malignant tumor as individuals in the U.S. are allowed to carry guns legally and the use of arms has become "culture."
Any measure to ban individuals' carriage of guns makes it impossible to protect people from criminals. Conniving at individuals' carriage of guns makes individuals' excessive use of guns problematic. To make matters worse, even arms producers are strongly opposing the arms control measure under the patronage of Congress. Under this situation it is a daydream to put an end to the gun-related crimes in the U.S.
Progressive and reactionary nature of society depends on how much independence and vital rights of human beings are respected or ensured. In this sense the American society is the most reactionary and unpopular one in the world.
The world is spitting at the shameless behavior of the U.S. which likes to cavil about others' "human rights abuses" though it has failed to protect its people's safety.
The U.S. would be well advised to mind its own business before taking issue with the human rights of other countries. -0-
