US sustaining its anti-Iranian policy: MP

Dezful, Khuzestan prov, Dec 10, IRNA - The US still continues its hostile policy towards Iran, Chairman of Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said. Speaking in a local ceremony on Friday, he referred to the long history of US crimes against Iranian nation including the 1953 coup d'état and noted that the US still continues its hostile policy towards Iran. Occupation of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979 was the Iranian nation's response to the Washington anti-Iran actions, the lawmaker noted. He said that the world equation has changed and now the US battleships in the Persian Gulf are humiliated by the Iranian Navy strongmen. Praising the Lebanese Hezbollah victory over Zionist regime in 2000, Boroujerdi said Hezbollah victory surprised the world. The defeat of Saddam and its supporters in the eight-year imposed war against Iran war is a proof to the fact that the Iranian nation can defeat its enemies by the power of faith, he added. The official also pointed to the enemies' economic war against Iran and said the Iranian nation will defeat its enemies in the economic field as well. When most of the western and eastern countries are suffering instability, Iran enjoys sustainable security, Boroujerdi noted. He said that the enemies' plot for pressuring Islamic Revolution in Syria and other parts of the region has already failed. 1378/IRNA
