Upcoming visit of Kyrgyz President Zhaparov to Moscow discussed

Bishkek, Feb. 19, 2021. / Kabar /. Russia’s Moscow hosted on Thursday a regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
According to the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the consultations were held at the level of First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliyev and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrey Rudenko.
An open and confidential exchange of views on key issues of bilateral, international and regional agendas took place.
The sides noted the importance of contacts at the highest level, which contributes to strengthening of interstate relations. In this context, they considered in detail issues of the upcoming first foreign visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Russia.
A schedule of political and cultural events for the current year, including within the framework of the declared Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan in Russia and Russia in Kyrgyzstan was planned.
Nuran Niyazaliyev and Andrey Rudenko discussed ways of joint actions to combat coronavirus infection and overcome its consequences for bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, energy, tourism, cultural and humanitarian, scientific and educational and other spheres. Emphasize was made on issue of supply the Russian Sputnik V vaccine to Kyrgyzstan.
The heads of delegations considered the level of trade, economic and investment ties, which is one of the main components of the bilateral agenda. In particular, issues in the economy, agriculture, creation of favorable conditions for mutual trade, implementation of joint projects in the field of energy, subsoil use and industrial cooperation.
They also expressed mutual willingness to continue constructive interaction in the UN, EAEU, CIS, CSTO, OSCE and other multilateral platforms.
At the end of the consultations, the parties pledged to further strengthen the strategic partnership and alliance, as well as close cooperation between the two countries in all areas of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation.
