BANGKOK, June 2 (TNA) - A constituency 3 by-election in Thailand's northern Chiang Mai province ended smoothly at 3pm Saturday afternoon, with its unofficial results expected to be publicly announced this evening. Voters in Chiang Mai's Sankamphaeng district flocked to polling stations to cast their votes after the by-election kicked off at 8am. Election Commissioner Prapan Naikowit told reporters that he expects voter turnout to be more than 70 per cent, following a 86.62 per cent turnout in the previous election, while unofficial results of today's by-election is expected by 7pm Saturday evening, as there has not been any official complaint regarding the by-election so far.
