Turkmenistan appoints representative to World Meteorological Organization

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Nov.6 / Trend, H.Hasanov / Chairman of the National Hydrometeorology Committee under the Turkmen government Batyr Khallyev has been appointed as the country's representative to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), an official Turkmen source said. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed the relevant decree. On these days Khallyev is scheduled to visit the city of Exeter and Reading in the UK to get acquainted with the work of leading meteorological services of Europe. Regulations of the National Hydrometeorology Committee were approved last year. Hydrometeorological activity is a complex system of observations, data collection, processing, analysis, storage and use of information about the environment, and other related work and information services.
