TURKISH STATE MINISTER MEETS WITH OMAN'S MINISTER OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS

ANKARA (A.A) - 29.09.2009 - Turkish State Minister Faruk Celik met with Oman's Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Abdallah bin Muhammad bin Abdallah al-Salimi in capital Ankara on Tuesday. 
Speaking at the meeting, Celik said that the Turkish Department of Religious Affairs had a long history and Turkey desired to establish dialogue and contact with all the countries in religious affairs.
"We hope this first contact with Oman would be a good start," Celik said.  
Al-Salimi said in his part that Muslim countries should give a message of tolerance to the world.
Expressing Turkey's importance for Oman, al-Salimi said his country desired such friendship would turn into a mutual cooperation.
