ANKARA (A.A) - 22.02.2011 - Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay has said that development of the relations between Turkey and Malaysia was important for both the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the world.
Atalay met with Malaysia's Minister of Home Affairs Hishamuddin Tun Hussein in Ankara on Tuesday.
Atalay recalled that Hussein met with Turkish President Abdullah Gul in Istanbul on Monday, and he would hold a meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Tuesday.
Noting that Turkey and Malaysia were two important countries which had special locations, Atalay said that the two countries were also important members of OIC. He said that economies of Turkey and Malaysia were developing rapidly, adding that the two countries took very important steps in democratization.
The relations which Malaysia and Turkey will develop in every area are important for both OIC and the world, he added.
