TURKEY AND SENEGAL SIGN AGREEMENT TO BOOST INVESTMENTS

ANKARA (A.A) - 15.06.2010 - Turkish and Senegalese governments signed an agreement on Mutual Incentives and Protection of Investments in Ankara on Tuesday. 
The agreement was signed by Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay and Senegal's Foreign Minister Madicke Niang.
Atalay underlined importance of Senegal in Turkey's policy in opening to Africa and referred to Senegal's position in Organization of Islamic Conference.
Atalay said trade volume between Turkey and Senegal was increasing, and noted that economic relations of the two countries would improve with the trade agreement.
Senegalese foreign minister said Turkey was one of the first countries recognizing Senegal's independence, and thanked Turkish government.
Niang said his government welcomed leadership role assumed by Turkey in the region.
